You’ve waited patiently for months for your new Porsche to be delivered to the Atlanta Porsche Experience Center. Many in the Porsche community have expressed feelings of waiting for their Porsche to be delivered as unbearable and also as one of the most exciting experiences they’ve felt. Maybe this is your first Porsche or maybe this is another in the long stream of Porsches you’ve owned. Either way, getting to see and go through the PEC motions is likely something new to you and no doubt, it will be incredible.

Highway travel can be harsh on a new car. It is fraught with exposure to sand blasted bumpers, rocker panels, rear quarters and rear bumper edges,  rocks thrown from tires and debris dropped from dump trucks and other vehicles… Every day we pass by casualties of this kind of exposure. Paint that was new and beautiful at one time and that is now looking at the unwanted quality of a respray or will live out the rest of its days as a beat up paint job. Can you get it to us without it being on the road? ABSOLUTELY.

We offer our clients the option for us to pick up their Porsche via our enclosed custom aluminum car hauler. It features an escape hatch along with a removable fender. This allows us to open a door and step out, without damage and without crawling out a window of your car. Our pick up service features the same care we put into each clear bra wrap and Modesta application.

How long will this take and what do I do while I wait?

Typically, our ‘Track Package’ clear bra installation is completed in a day. We do not cut our installations loose the same day though. The reality of clear bra installation is that it expands and contracts and when installed, sometimes there is some slight releasing. When this minor releasing is addressed before leaving, it is a very minor fix. Keeping a project over night and reinspecting it before it is released is, in our opinion, a more responsible method for a higher quality installation.

So the question is, what is one to do while you wait for your car to be prepared? It’s fortunate for you that Atlanta has a great number of things to keep you busy for a day or two. For general sight seeing, HERE are some options. Want something louder and faster to do? Try Atlanta Motorsports Park‘s kart racing or kart school. Road Atlanta may be worth a visit on the right weekend. If you like a dirtier and dustier style of fun, you can rent ATVs, dirt-bikes and side-by-sides at Durham Town. As home of Bobby Jones, Georgia has a rich golfing culture and some awesome golf courses for the avid golfer. Wine tasters can have their fill at Château Élan.

 

After a day of your significant other tagging along, no doubt they will enjoy fine dining in the evening. One of my personal favorites for something special is Canoe. La Tavola offers great Italian and is located in foodie-central of metro Atlanta, Virginia Highlands. If you’d like to hunt down your own special meal, look HERE for ideas.
