WHAT IS CAR DETAILING?
Detailing is different for everyone. To some people, a quick exterior car wash with a bucket and brush is a detail. To some it means spending 20+ hours on a single car so that every surface can be meticulously cleaned and protected. The meaning of that word depends on who you ask. For me, what matters is understanding what car detailing is to YOU. Everyone's needs can be different and discovering what's important to you will enable Detailed Designs Auto Spa to provide the best service possible.
HOW ARE OUR SERVICES DIFFERENT FROM WHAT OTHERS OFFER?
We take pride in every car and every step of every process. When we started Detailed Designs Auto Spa, our goal was to offer the paradigm in the automotive aesthetics industry. A place where someone will take care of your pride and joy as you do yourself. One of the ways we do this is by carefully choosing the best products in the world that are used for every task. We do not want to up sell unwanted or unneeded services with a higher bill in mind. Our goal is to provide you with an experience you've never had and to make your automobile everything you want it to be.
We encourage all new clients to contact us for a consultation. It gives us the opportunity to talk with you and get an idea of what is important to you before we actually see the car.
When we meet for your consultation it is important that you are educated on what your car really needs. We can not say you need this or that after spending 30 seconds looking at your car like so many other shops do. We've have had consultations that lasted 5 minutes(due to the client's available time), then again some have last over a hour. We don't want you to spend money on anything that is not really needed or anything that is simply not important to you.
It is our goal that your experience with our company is the best you've ever had.
DO YOU OFFER ON-SITE SERVICES AND HOW MUCH DO THEY COST?
A: We offer limited on-site services. There is a fee to travel and on-site services carry a premium charge as well. We also offer a trailer hauling service in our personal enclosed car hauler. Call us for more details.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
There is no single answer to this question. We will give you an estimated time to complete the detail. We do our best to have your car ready for before the estimated time given. Sometimes, though, it takes us longer than anticipated. It does not happen often, but it can happen. It is important to remember that quality comes first, we don't operate on the premise of quantity over quality. We will call you as soon as we know that it will take longer so that you can plan accordingly.
WHAT IS PAINT CORRECTION/RESTORATION?
It is the process of truly removing scratches, swirl marks, etching(bird, acid rain and bug marks) and oxidation. By using the term "truly removing..." what we mean is that we do not use polishes or compounds that are specifically designed to fill surface defects temporarily. Many shops use those types of products because they can meet their allotted time per car all while meeting a price point. This is why so many will get a "full detail and buff" and 2 washes later the paint looks exactly the same as it did prior to their "full detail and buff".
Whether we get satisfactory results with a light polish, medium cut polish, compound or wet sanding, our goal is to get lasting results. Because we do not fill surface defects, but we actually level the flaws with micro-abrasive polishes and clean quality-pads, as long as the surface is kept clean the right way, it will stay looking great for a very long time.
